Alpha Psi Omega has been an integral part of the greater Wilmington community since 1932 – the FIRST Greek letter organization among African-American women in Southeastern North Carolina. For over 86 years, we have been delivering impactful programming, changing the lives of people in Wilmington, NC and the surrounding counties. Today we continue to focus on serving all of mankind as we implement

Alpha Kappa Alpha’s International Program: Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. Alpha Psi Omega will continue to focus its efforts in helping our community in the areas of education, health, economics, and the arts. In order to accomplish this we partner with civic and government organizations to directly help our neighbors at the point of impact. She communicates well. She’s a problem solver and a visionary. She is adaptable, a collaborator and mentors and empowers others for leadership. She is the coach for Brunswick Community College Women’s Basketball team. She’s the president of Alpha Psi Omega Chapter. And now, she is the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Business Operations Director.

The members of APO are so proud of Onya Gardner. Her exemplary leadership is sure to champion service, empower Sisterhood and transform the world.

It was an outing with sugar and spice and everything nice. There was a lot of sisterly love and laughter, while being creative.

The latest Outing with Onya was an “APO British Bake Off." Each of our sisters came together to decorate their own baked treat. Cakes/cupcakes, decorating supplies and aprons were provided. BCC Women’s Basketball Team, whose coach is our President, Onya Gardner, served as our judges. Congratulations to Renee Muir on being the winner.

The Aesthetics class’ hand massages were a surprise. They gave each of our sisters a relaxing hand massage after they decorated their cakes.
