Pi Kappa Alpha UNCW The Lambda Phi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha PIKE was started at the University of North Carolina Wilmington on October 19th, 2008.

Pi Kappa Alpha, also known as PIKE, was founded in 1868 at the University of Virginia, and is recognized as one of the largest fraternities in the United States. PIKE was founded with the mission of developing men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character, as well as to foster a truly lifelong fraternal experience. This mission is supported by SLAG, an acronym for scholars, leaders, athlet

es, and gentlemen, which all of the men of PIKE contribute to. Two PIKE representatives visited professors, coaches, and sororities in search of well-rounded gentlemen. After four weeks of interviews, they found just under thirty men that were qualified to represent PIKE at UNCW. On November 19th, 2008, PIKE was introduced to the UNCW community. Since their introduction, PIKE has been making an impact at UNCW and the city of Wilmington, making sure everyone knows that they are now a part of this community.
