How much can a landscape change in a century?

Through the Wentworth Fellowship, UNCW’s Maggie Beck ’26 followed the path of aerial photographer Eduard Spelterini across Switzerland, capturing the environment through a modern lens.

"I am reminded that a photo can do more than document a landscape; it can inspire people to care for their environment, and I am proud of myself for contributing to that narrative."

Supported by the UNCW Wentworth Travel Fellowship, student Maggie Beck journeyed to Switzerland to retrace a pioneering photographer’s legacy.
