Alumni Association Board of Directors member Justin Eller ’06 rolled up his sleeves and fired up the grill at the annual Concern Hotline Fish Fry, serving up great food and even greater support for our SU Baseball team.

✅Answer: Solenberger Hall! Opened in 2011, this apartment‑style housing offers contemporary living for graduate students. While modernized for student life, much of the building’s late‑19th century charm was carefully preserved during renovation.

🎉 Celebrating Clint Curfman ’24! 🎉

🎶✨The SU community celebrates Clint Curfman ’24 (stage name Clint Westwood) debuted his single “Put Your Hips Into It!” on August 28.

💃 Inspired by the disco‑pop magic of the 1970s, Clint’s anthem is all about joy, freedom, and letting go of shame. After moving to Richmond in 2024, he’s been writing, recording, and collaborating with producer Danny Aghdam — and now he’s ready to share his sound with the world.

We’re proud to feature Nate Copeland ’85, Alumni Board of Director.
With 40+ years of mission‑driven leadership across the DoD and Intelligence community, Nate Copeland has built a career defined by service, growth, and empowering high‑performing teams.

As President of XTS, he leads enterprise growth and mission delivery across the federal landscape. Through his company NCOURAGE LLC, he coaches leaders, strengthens culture, and helps organizations build workplaces where people thrive. 💼✨

A John Maxwell Leadership Certified Team member and former USGIF board member, Nate’s career spans roles at ANSER, BAE Systems, Booz Allen, and the U.S. Air Force—where he served as a Captain during Operation Desert Storm.🇺🇸

His leadership journey began at Shenandoah, founding SU’s Circle K chapter and launching Chi Beta Phi. Now on the Alumni Association Board, he’s excited to give back and help shape future Hornet leaders. ❤️

🌟Motivational Monday!🌟 Avery Bargassé ’16, ’18 is proof that passion, persistence, and artistry can open incredible doors. This summer, he stepped into a new chapter as assistant professor educator of musical theatre voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.🎶🎤

His journey from Shenandoah to Cincinnati shows what happens when you commit to your craft, invest in your growth, and keep saying yes to the opportunities that shape you. Avery is now helping the next generation of performers find their voices, refine their technique, and step confidently into their own futures.
