A group of students traveled to Immaculata University this weekend to participate in the MAR- AMTA Conference! We spent 2 days attending sessions about different aspects of music therapy practice and MT research! We attended a drum circle, as well as an open mic event! We spent time connecting with other music therapy students, clinicians, and educators too!

We had a fantastic weekend and met many amazing people in the music therapy world! We learned so much and can’t wait to come back next year!! 🤩

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! This year SUMTA and the music therapy students will be raising money throughout all of January to save for the MAR-AMTA conference in the spring. Which is an amazing educational experience for our future careers! The funds will be used to cover the cost of an Airbnb and provide cheaper tickets/travel. We would love as many people as possible to donate so we can make this trip happen! Feel free to donate directly to SUMTA or to direct music therapy students that fundraise through their personal calendars!
