Congratulations to Arts and Sciences' Alum, Kollin Wisniewski ’23 on receiving the Superior Civilian Service Award! Read more about how his degree helped him render this achievement.

Shenandoah celebrates alumnus Kollin Wisniewski ’23, who recently received the Superior Civilian Service Award—the second‑highest honorary recognition granted to Department of the Army civilians, equivalent to the military’s Legion of Merit.🎖

Kollin earned this distinction for his work on a major Organic Industrial Base (OIB) study mandated by Congress and the Secretary of the Army. In just the first 30 days, his team visited 23 sites nationwide, met with private‑sector partners, and built AI‑driven tools to analyze massive volumes of qualitative data—all while navigating the pressure of a looming government shutdown.

Reflecting on the honor, Kollin shared:
💬“The education I received from Shenandoah provided the foundation, discipline, and perspective I rely on daily.”

Kollin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in data science & applied mathematics, and we couldn’t be prouder of the impact he’s making.🎓

👏 Join us in celebrating this outstanding achievement.
