Our first year students were busy this spring! As part of their rehabilitation course, each student creates and implements a rehabilitation program for their patient and takes them through the rehabilitation process. It’s a great hands-on learning opportunity!

Our first year MSAT students recently participated in a lab on concussion and vestibular rehabilitation with Leah Winecke, DPT from Emplify Health. The bonus is that it was on the same day we had Hong Kong students visiting us!

🚨 Interprofessional Disaster Simulation in Action 🚨

Undergraduate students from Winona State Nursing and Social Work, along with Graduate Athletic Training Students came together for a high impact disaster simulation involving a building collapse. Working as one team, they triaged injuries, addressed physical and psychosocial needs, and coordinated care for victims in a complex, fast moving scenario.

This experience highlighted the power of collaboration across professions—because real world emergencies demand teamwork.
