As we end the school year, we wanted to highlight a field experience opportunity through WAPS! Miller Mentoring is an after school program for middle and high school students. Mentors spend about an hour and a half with students once a week, guiding them and helping with any academic, social, or emotional needs they may have. WSU students can also get 15 field experience hours per semester for Miller Mentoring through EDFD 100!
Grace Guertin, a Miller Mentoring mentor, says: “I have loved my time with Miller Mentoring because it has given me an opportunity to make connections with the students and help them with their school work. I look forward to going each week because it is a highlight of my week to check in with my mentee and and hear about how they are doing.”
