As the first secret society created for college women, Alpha Delta Pi has grown to become an amazing 160-year-old tradition of excellence. The Eta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was reinstalled at Wake Forest University in 2009 and continues to uphold this same level of excellence. We are a diverse group of women who play active roles in the Wake Forest and Winston-Salem communities. We are inv

olved in everything from Student Government, Student Union, and Wake TV to H.O.P.E., club sports, and the Student Orientation Advising Leadership Council, just to name a few. FOREVER:
On May 15, 1851, Alpha Delta Pi became the first secret society for college women; thus, becoming the founding mother for sororities everywhere. There is a special sense of pride and tradition when you become part of a sorority that has successfully endured for over a century and a half. Being the first sorority in the world, we have set a high precedent for all those that follow. LIFELONG VALUES:
An Alpha Delta Pi is a woman who is loyal and honest in all her words and actions. She holds herself in high esteem and integrity. She takes pride in her strength of character and steadfast ambition. She holds her friendships close to her heart and brings happiness to others through her kindness and service. LEADERSHIP AND SCHOLARSHIP:
There are many opportunities for members to demonstrate their leadership skills, whether becoming part of the ADPi executive board or attaining the position of an officer. In addition to leadership, academics are a top priority for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi. Sisters gather together to help each other with homework and studying! OPPORTUNITIES TO BETTER YOUR FUTURE:
Being part of an ADPi Chapter, you will be exposed to endless opportunities on campus and within Alpha Delta Pi nationally. You will also have the opportunity to hear the amazing stories of guest speakers from all over the world. Within the national organization of Alpha Delta Pi, sisters are invited to attend leadership conferences as well as receive awards individually or as a chapter. Being a sister of the Alpha Delta Pi, you can expect to make friendships that will last a lifetime. Between Greek Week and Homecoming, formals/mixers and fundraisers, you can expect your years as an ADPi to be filled with excitement and laughter! GO ADPi!

This week, we welcomed more than 180 sisters back to campus alongside the largest incoming class of first-year and transfer students in Wake Forest University’s history—1,660 new Deacs!

Throughout the first week of classes (FWOC), our sisters reconnected and took pictures together in front of Wait Chapel. Our ADPi seniors also gathered for their first senior event, while our Director of Sisterhood, Kayla Frank, hosted an event aptly titled “We’re Sew Back.” During the event, sisters designed custom hats at Wake Forest’s on-campus craft hub, the WakerSpace.

As Wake Forest continues to grow, we cannot wait to see what the coming academic year holds for our sisterhood!

As we prepare to reunite with our sisters on campus, we are excited to highlight six members and the incredible internship experiences they pursued this summer! Alpha Delta Pi’s mission includes creating an environment that encourages collegiate women to grow and succeed both personally and professionally. We are so proud to see these sisters putting their talents into practice, exploring their passions, and gaining valuable experience across a variety of industries.

Jessica Elkin (AC ‘25) served as a Risk Management Intern for Sterling Seacrest Pritchard. While in this role, Jessica attended client meetings, conducted audits and reviewed financial records, gained industry knowledge in insurance, and, of course, helped the rest of the office with her printer skills!

Vivian Ernst (AC ’24) spent her summer interning with Florida Senator Rick Scott on the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging. As a student of politics and economics, she applied her studies to policy research on Medicare, fraud and scams, and the growing impact of AI. When she wasn’t on Capitol Hill, she enjoyed experiencing DC during a historic summer as the nation celebrated America’s 250th anniversary.

Emma Engle (AC ‘25) worked for Wallace & Graham, P.A. as a legal intern. While in this role, Emma gained insight into the operations of a law firm and strengthened her interest in plaintiffs’-side and public interest work.

Kenley McClure (AC ‘24) served as a Corporate Communications Intern for Inmar Intelligence. As an English and Communication double major, she used her writing and strategic planning skills to publish communications on both internal and external channels. She also enjoyed the chance to present a final capstone project to the executive leadership team, learn from the other incredible interns, gain confidence in a corporate environment, and spend the summer in Winston-Salem.

Holly Olszewski (AC ‘25) worked as a Transformation & Project Management intern at Pfizer in New York City. She supported various project management initiatives across the organization. Holly gained experience in stakeholder engagement, data analysis, strategic problem solving, and business transformation.

Elaina Albers (AC ‘25) served as a Wealth & Investment Management Intern at Wells Fargo. During her time at Wells Fargo, Elaina gained firsthand experience in the financial services industry while developing her skills in client relations, investment strategy, financial analysis, and professional communication.

The fall Panhellenic pop-in schedule has officially been announced!

Pop-ins give those interested in the recruitment process an opportunity to meet active members, learn more about each chapter, and become familiar with the Panhellenic community ahead of formal recruitment.

Alpha Delta Pi’s pop-ins will be held between September 21 and September 27. We look forward to welcoming interested individuals and introducing them to the values, experiences, and sisterhood that define our Eta Upsilon chapter!

Participation is entirely optional. Specific event dates, locations, and registration information will be shared closer to the scheduled timeframe.

Founded in 1834, Wake Forest University has a rich history rooted in academic excellence, leadership, and service. Although the university moved from Wake Forest, North Carolina, to Winston-Salem in 1956, its name continues to honor its origins while embracing a vibrant campus community today.
