Congratulations to alumna Emily Casey (Wake Forest Math MS, ‘16) for being awarded the prestigious NSF Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. Dr. Casey graduated with her PhD from the University of Washington in 2025 and currently holds a postdoctoral position at the University of Minnesota. Her work is in geometric measure theory and harmonic analysis.

Our students did an outstanding job presenting year-long research projects and explaining complex mathematical concepts in just 15 minutes. Congratulations to all of our seniors on their hard work and achievements!

AWM Celebration & Elections. Our last AWM event of the semester will be an End-of-Year Celebration with exec elections on Monday, April 20 at 5pm in Manchester 120. If you are interested in running for exec, please sign up. With most of the exec graduating, there are plenty of open positions! All students are welcome to run. There will also be free food at this event.
