Blaze is warning you to buckle up! This was a busy day. We headed out at 7:30 and drove to
Alajuela. Along the way we learned about Costa Rican heroes and history and had some good photo ops. Next we went for a brisk hike and you can see what we would have seen if it hadn't been so cloudy. But hey, ¡Pura vida! We were in a cloud rainforest, it happens! Next we pit stopped at the Starbucks Research facility and store. The view and atmosphere were top notch and Starbucks is working to develop heartier Arábica plants so we can continue to have excellent coffee for a long time! After lunch at Doka Coffee Plantation, we headed to Sarchi to see how ox carts are made and decorated. After a visit to the gift shop, we made one last stop at the world's largest ox cart. It was a whirlwind day. Tomorrow we will begin to reflect on what we've learned so far and have a bit more time to get to know San José. Costa Rica, we love you so much already!
