Carolina University Women’s Basketball is excited to welcome Soraya Jefferson to the Bruin family!

A 5’8” sophomore guard from Powder Springs, Georgia, Soraya brings toughness, versatility, and a relentless work ethic to Winston-Salem. She impacts the game on both ends of the floor and has proven she can do it all, averaging 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game while serving as a true playmaker.

Soraya’s unselfish approach, high basketball IQ, and ability to create for herself and her teammates make her a perfect fit for the Bruins. Whether she’s pushing the pace, locking in defensively, or making winning plays, she competes with confidence and purpose.

We’re excited to watch that work continue in the Blue & Gold.

Carolina University Women’s Basketball is excited to welcome Mariah Phelps to the Bruin family!

A 5’7” guard from Gurnee, Illinois, Mariah joins us after competing at the NJCAA Division I level, where her program had an impressive 51-15 overall record during her time there. She brings valuable experience from a highly competitive environment and a winning mentality to Carolina.

Mariah averaged 9.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, showcasing her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she’s explosive, aggressive, and thrives attacking downhill, using her quickness to create and exploit mismatches. Her fearless style of play and competitive edge make her a perfect addition to the Bruins.

We’re excited to see Mariah bring her toughness, speed, and winning mindset to Winston-Salem.

A 5’7” guard transferring from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Jada brings a gritty, hard-nosed style of basketball to our program. She is a physical defender who takes pride in making life difficult for opposing guards, and her toughness and relentless motor set the tone every time she steps on the floor.

Her aggressive mindset, defensive intensity, and competitive spirit make her a perfect fit for what we’re building at Carolina.

Today, we celebrate the dads, grandads, stepdads, foster dads, single moms who fill both roles, and those remembering fathers who are no longer with us.

🐻 Little Bruins Basketball Camp🐻

Our goal is to provide a fun, positive, and educational environment where young athletes can learn
the fundamentals of basketball while developing confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love
for the game.

The Little Bruins Camp is designed for boys and girls entering 3rd through 8th grade and welcomes all skill levels.

Little Bruins will be learning from college coaches and college athletes!!
