“Nissa,

As you near the end of your college years, I’ve come to realize that to be known by you, let alone loved by you, is one of the greatest honors anyone could receive. Despite being one of the busiest people I know, you will still drop everything to help those you care about. Whether it be as simple as driving me to a workout class I refuse to parallel park for, joining me for dinner in the pit, or letting me sit on your dorm floor talking for hours, you have always been there without hesitation. I cannot describe how thankful I am for the time you have spent making me laugh, talking me through the most stressful of situations, and holding my hand through my best and worst moments. I am so proud to know you, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!

“People always talk about the feeling of “when you know, you know,” and honestly I never understood what that meant until I met Nissa. I thought getting a sorority big would just mean gaining another friend, but in what felt like five seconds, you became my best friend, my safe place, and the person who always keeps me grounded. You are always there to catch me before I fall and remind me who I am when I start to lose myself. I genuinely don’t know how you do it all while being such an amazing friend, balancing school, everything in our sorority, and running three boutiques at the same time. You inspire me more than you know, and Wake will not be the same without you.

You’ve inspired me more than you probably realize, and I’m so lucky that I get to call you my big. From visiting Jordan in DC, to our dinners at Quiet Pint, to crashing on your couch, we have countless memories together, and I can’t wait for all the ones still to come.
