KKGenius Spotlight! Our secretary, Mattie Usey, spent 2 months in Kenya working with the CDC and Kenya Medical Research Institute on a project that was testing a new way to diagnose a parasitic disease that infects about 200 million people in Africa. We are so proud of all that Mattie has accomplished and can't wait to see what she'll do next!

KKGenius Spotlight! Our president, Mary Layton Moffitt, worked at SMT this summer. More about her experience below...

"I worked as an Engineering Project Management Intern at SMT (SportsMEDIA Technology Corporation) in Durham, NC. The company is responsible for pretty much every sports graphic you see on any sports channel or sporting event there is! I worked directly with the engineering management staff on multiple aspects of daily project management; including agile sprint planning, team meeting organization, software development scoping, project specifications, interactions with sales and account management teams, and maintenance of all high-level software development project roadmaps. I assisted with the ex*****on, testing and planning of high profile projects like NBC Sunday Night Football, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the 2018 Tour de France, the 2018 Wimbledon Tennis Championships, The US Open, Major League Baseball, The American Flag Football League, The 144th Kentucky Derby and SMT’s OASIS player health application. Learning how to test software, create animations, and organize and schedule projects really helped me grow as I strive to become a successful software developer!!"
