Today, cadets from our academy joined public safety partners across the region at the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, hosted by the ECU Police Department. At 8:46 a.m. — the exact moment the first tower was struck — participants climbed in honor of the 2,977 lives lost, including the 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers who gave everything that day. We're proud of our cadets for standing alongside fellow first responders in remembrance, and we will never forget.
