History:
Pitt Community College was chartered and designated by the State Board of Education as an industrial education center in March 1961. Today, the college awards associate degrees, diplomas and certificates for more than 60 programs and provides adult basic education, literacy training and occupational extension courses. It serves more than 23,000 credit and non-credit students annually and
is the sixth-largest in the 58-member N.C. Accreditation Statement:
