I hope everyone's Earth Day was great! Sexual Respect Coalition at Wooster wanted to share some information about menstrual health and some eco-friendly (and healthier!) menstrual product options. Greenhouse has now been volunteering for A Whole Community, Inc. for the last two years. AWC has been working on the Community Food Project, with three goals: to reduce food waste, to increase the local, fresh produce provided to those in need, and to increase nutrition. Greenhouse has been lucky enough to participate in their gleaning project each Fall semester, harvesting hundreds of pounds of fresh produce from the OARDC each week. We are able to save the produce from waste, and it goes to families in need right in the Wayne County community. Since so many are stuck inside, many organizations are providing seminars and virtual trainings for those interested in climate action and environmentalism! If you have some time to kill, think about taking part in one of the following opportunities:
The Sunrise Movement is hosting a 4-day crash course on the Green New Deal and Coronavirus, starting April 7th, for an hour a day.
There is also a virtual teach-in being held in each state (including DC and Puerto Rico) on April 7th on climate solutions by the year 2030. http://www.solveclimateby2030.org/
There are lots of other webinars and events going on towards the end of April around Earth Day, so we will have a whole document coming with lots of fun opportunities.

Throughout the next month we will be making informational posts, linking some cool virtual resources and webinars about environmentalism through CCL and other resources, and featuring some other COW clubs in lieu of Earth Fest!
