Holden, MA - PT Acupuncturist Needed
Holden Acupuncture is looking for a caring, bright, and motivated licensed acupuncturist to join our established practice in Holden, Massachusetts.
We have been serving the Holden and surrounding communities for 23 years, and we have built our practice around genuine relationships with our patients, thoughtful individualized care, and a deep respect for Chinese medicine.
We are looking for someone who loves acupuncture and Chinese medicine and, just as importantly, loves working one-on-one with people.
About the position
This is a part-time W-2 position, approximately 15-20 hours/week to start, with the opportunity for additional hours and increased responsibility over time. The schedule must include some evening and/or weekend availability.
We are open to both new graduates and experienced practitioners. What matters most to us is finding the right person: someone who is compassionate, curious, dependable, motivated, and excited to continue learning.
Our practice places a high value on getting to know the whole person. We incorporate acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine along with attention to nutrition, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and other factors that can influence health. We spend meaningful time with our patients and tend to know about their lives outside of their main complaint.
At the same time, we recognize that practitioners have different strengths and styles. You do not have to practice exactly the way we do. We are open to someone who enjoys a longer, more comprehensive visit as well as someone whose clinical style is more streamlined and efficient.
What we are looking for
• Massachusetts-licensed acupuncturist (or eligible for Massachusetts licensure)
• NCCAOM certification preferred
• Professional liability insurance
• Genuine enthusiasm for acupuncture and East Asian medicine (Chinese herbal medicine certification not required)
• Warm, compassionate, and personable approach
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Bright, thoughtful, and clinically curious
• Motivated to learn and grow as a practitioner
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently
• Enjoys building ongoing relationships with patients
• Willingness to participate in regular case consultation and clinical discussion
New graduates are welcome to apply. We are happy to work with someone who is early in their career and eager to develop their clinical skills.
Mentorship & growth
One of the things that makes this opportunity unique is the chance to work closely with the owner and clinical director of an established practice.
I plan to meet regularly with the practitioner we hire for case consultation, clinical discussion, and mentorship. My goal is to create a collaborative environment where we can learn from one another and continue to develop as practitioners.
There is also room for this position to grow — both in hours and in how we work together as a practice. As the relationship develops, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and help shape the future of Holden Acupuncture.
Compensation
This is a W-2 employee position with compensation based on patients treated, approximately $40-$75/hour.
Specific compensation and scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.
Most importantly, we're looking for the right fit.
Holden Acupuncture is a small practice with a strong sense of community. We know our patients well, and our practitioners work closely together. We are looking for someone who will appreciate that environment and contribute to it.
If you are passionate about Chinese medicine, enjoy caring for people, and are looking for an opportunity to join an established practice while continuing to learn and grow, we would love to hear from you.
Please send a resume and a brief introduction telling us about yourself, your experience with Chinese medicine, and what you are looking for in your next practice setting to [email protected].
