East Boston, MA - Part-Time Acupuncturist Needed

Root + Sky Wellness is looking for a warm, experienced, and kind-hearted acupuncturist to join our small practice on a part-time basis, with the opportunity for additional hours.

I opened Root + Sky in 2017 and have built a small, intimate practice centered around genuine connection and individualized care. Many of my patients have been with me for years, so finding someone who feels aligned with the energy of the practice and will care for these relationships is incredibly important to me.
Initial schedule: I’m looking for someone to cover one evening per week (ideally Thursday or Friday) and a few hours on Saturday. I have some flexibility with the exact schedule and am happy to work with the right person.

I’m hoping to find someone who:

• Is a licensed acupuncturist with experience treating a broad range of conditions
• Is comfortable working independently in a small practice
• Is warm, grounded, compassionate, and genuinely enjoys connecting with patients
• Is interested in starting ASAP
• Ideally is already credentialed with Harvard Pilgrim, although this is absolutely not required

Harvard Pilgrim is currently the only insurance plan I accept. If you’re credentialed with them, there may be an opportunity to work under my group NPI. If you’re not insurance credentialed, that’s completely fine—I’m actively transitioning the practice toward a more cash-based model, and we can schedule cash-pay patients accordingly.

I will also be away for the entire month of July, so there will be an opportunity to pick up considerably more hours/patient coverage during that time if desired.

More than anything, I’m looking for someone who feels like a natural fit for the practice. Root + Sky is not a large or impersonal clinic. It’s a small space with a loyal patient community, and I want someone who will bring the same warmth, attentiveness, and heart to their care.

If this sounds like it might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you. Please send a little about yourself, your experience, availability, and insurance credentialing (if applicable) to [email protected].

Students recently proved that, despite being one of the longest documented conditions—dating back to Homer’s “The Odyssey” and beyond—treating Parkinson’s disease requires a team.

The Interprofessional Healthcare Forum’s (IPHF) recent presentation featured physician assistant studies, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine students as they described their roles on collaborative care teams for patients with Parkinson’s.

From diagnosis to medication therapy, strength building, mindfulness, and complementary therapies, read about the interprofessional event at MCPHS News: https://bit.ly/4c0SKyX

TA's Needed in Boston!
We are still hiring TAs for the Boston campus faculty for fall 2026 for these courses:

Acupuncture Channels & Points I: We now combine Point Location and Actions & Effects. As a TA you get to sit in on the Actions & Effects lecture and then TA the point location practical session. This course examines the LU, LI, ST & SP acupuncture channels, and the anatomical locations, functions, and clinical significance of those points. Course is on the Boston campus 11 Saturdays 10:00am-2:30pm September 12 through December 5 (no class November 28).

Acupuncture Techniques I: This is the new name for the Materials & Methods course.
This course provides training in needling and moxibustion. Students will develop proficiency in various needling types, differentiate between tonifying and dispersing methods, and integrate moxibustion for enhanced outcomes.
Course is on the Boston campus 11 Sundays 1:00pm-5:30pm September 13 through December 6 (no class November 29).

Please email Amy Hull if you would like to talk about being a TA for either of these courses. [email protected] Or please share this information with anyone in your circle who might be a good fit. Thank you!
