Together, we celebrated 50,000 days since Opening Exercises at Clark University, and we are just getting started.

Today, August 25, 2026, Clark University is celebrating an extraordinary milestone: 50,000 days since the Opening Exercises at Clark University.

Since that historic moment on October 2, 1889, Clark has been a place where curiosity becomes discovery, ideas become action, and students become leaders ready to make a difference in the world.

For 50,000 days, Clark has delivered:
• 50,000 days of inquiry
• 50,000 days of research
• 50,000 days of students becoming leaders
• 50,000 days of cumulative impact

Now, we’re asking our community to help carry that momentum forward as we celebrate the Clark Day $50K Challenge and work together to raise $50,000 in one day!

We are deeply grateful to an anonymous alumnus from the Class of 1977 for stepping up with a $10,000 matching challenge, meaning your contribution goes even further to empower the future of Clark.

Did you know that Tuesday, August 25th marks 50,000 days since Clark University opened its doors on October 2, 1889? From day one, this community has been driven by big ideas, groundbreaking research, and people who believe in making a difference.

The $50K Challenge officially launches on August 25, but you don’t have to wait to show your Clark pride and write the next chapter of our story.

Do you remember your Clark University Move-In Day? That mix of excitement and nerves, and the feeling that something incredible was about to begin? Now, you can help create that same unforgettable welcome for the next generation of Clarkies!

Join fellow alumni, students, faculty, and staff as part of the Move-In Crew! Alumni of all ages are welcome to join. Whether you're offering a friendly greeting to new families, helping visitors navigate campus, or keeping elevator lines moving, a warm face can make all the difference.

Note: No lifting required.

As a thank-you, all volunteers will receive an official Move-In Crew t-shirt and complimentary lunch after their shift!

The campus is buzzing, and Clarkies of all class years are back to reconnect, celebrate, and relive what makes this community so special.

Check-in and onsite registration open at 4 p.m. in the Academic Commons at Goddard Library — stop by to grab your program, pick up your gifts, and jump right into the weekend!

Tonight’s main event is the Alumni Awards Dinner hosted by The Alumni Council. Join us in Tilton hall to celebrate these outstanding members of our community and their impact!
