The Gamma Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity received its charter on November 27th 1906. Since this date much has occurred on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute as well as in the world around it. Through all of the positive and negative social occurrences ATO has endured, it still remains today as one of the strongest fraternities on campus. The reasons for this survival are many, but the most important are that the organization has always remained involved in many areas of collegiate life on the WPI campus. The brotherhood has always been composed of many different types of individuals thus allowing the fraternity to participate in many of the different aspects of the WPI community. This well-rounded quality has always been present and is constantly evolving with the changing of the brothers of ATO. This can be seen by observing the fraternity's history from establishment through to today.

Today the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega would like to remember our brother Alex Hughes.

Today marks 1 year since we lost Alex. Alex was a respected part of the WPI community, a true friend, and embodied what it meant to be a part of Alpha Tau Omega. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of and remember what Alex meant to us and he will forever be with us.

We encourage anybody that is going through mental health problems and depression to reach out to friends and family and to not fight this disease alone.

Yesterday the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega and the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta work together to put on a fun Easter egg hunt at Bancroft tower with GHHNA. We had a great turnout and there were over 1000 eggs found. It was great celebrating the holiday with our local community.

Last Friday we had the pleasure of hosting Alpha Phi for an ice bucket challenge to raise money for men’s mental health and women’s heart disease. We were able to raise $832. Thank you to all that volunteered and to all that donated.

This past Tuesday, we were lucky enough to host Alpha Gamma Delta in a pizza-making competition. It was a great time getting to meet some of the sisters and making some good food.

This past weekend brother Robbins, Marden, O’Connor, and Galicia attended the ATO presidents retreat in Chicago. They were able to attend leadership workshops and meet ATO’s from across the country. L&R
