Honors Students Take on Project Playhouse!

Our Sokolov Honors College students rolled up their sleeves and put their creativity and teamwork to work at the annual Project Playhouse event at Penguin City!

Our Honors TAs and student staff teamed up to design and build playhouses for local children, turning their ideas into something special. We’re proud of our students for working together, using their creativity, and making a meaningful difference in the community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!

Research opportunities can open doors long after graduation.

Congratulations to honors alum Avinab De, now a second-year medical student at NEOMED, for presenting at the Ohio Neurosurgical Society Conference. His research, "The Effect of Testosterone Replacement Therapy on Fusion Success, Pseudoarthrosis, and Bone Health Outcomes in Spine Surgery," reflects the curiosity, persistence, and commitment to improving human health that we strive to cultivate in our students.

We're proud to celebrate this accomplishment and grateful to see our alumni continuing to make meaningful contributions to their fields. 🩺

Join YSU Honors and Blooming Crazy in Boardman for a fun community mural project! We’re inviting members of the community to grab a paintbrush, get creative, and help us create something special together. 🖌️✨

And there’s something for our youngest artists, too! 🖍️Coloring pages will be available for little kids so the whole family can join in on the fun.

Whether you want to help paint the mural, let the kids color, or simply stop by and be part of the community, we’d love to see you!

Come make your mark and help us add a little more color to our community! 🌸🎨

The Honors Trustees brought their weekly committee meeting outside the office this week! With a focus on community engagement, the team spent the day giving back by helping clean up Wick Park.

We’re proud of our Honors Trustees for putting their commitment to service into action and making a difference right here in our community!

A special thank you to the City of Youngstown for providing the equipment and helping make this cleanup possible!

Getting involved starts here!

Our Honors Student Organization Fair gave students the opportunity to connect with campus organizations, meet fellow students, and discover new ways to get involved beyond the classroom.

Thank you to all of the students, staff, and organizations who helped make the event a success! We loved seeing our Honors community come together.
