As Hazing Prevention Week 2026 comes to a close, we want to say this loudly and clearly:

Hazing has no place in our Penguin Community. Not in Greek life. Not in athletics. Not in any club, team, or organization at YSU.

This week we:
- Wore purple for a purpose
- Busted myths about hazing at Cushwa Hall
- Dug deeper into the truth at the Maag Library Patio
- Highlighted the importance of Collin's Law and the Recognize & Prevent training

TODAY is also the FINAL DEADLINE to complete the Recognize and Prevent Hazing training module. Incoming students: do it now at https://learn.ue.org/learn

💜 It's Hazing Prevention Week at YSU — and we're starting it PURPLE.

"Purple with a Purpose: Protecting Penguins, Ending Hazing." Wear purple this week to show your solidarity with survivors and your commitment to a safer YSU community.

Purple symbolizes courage, unity, and the commitment to end harmful practices. By wearing it this week, you're saying clearly: hazing has no place in our Penguin Community.

Follow along all week for daily themes, events, and ways to get involved.
