Recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and come enjoy writing HOPE Kit Encouragement Cards for HOPE Kits which are delivered to a patient facing breast cancer. For every 5 cards written, you will receive 1 hour of service and a pin.

Honors political science major Alayna Barone has been participating in the Washington Center Internship in Washington, D.C. this semester. As a full-time legislative intern in Senator Mike Rounds' office, Alayna meets and interacts with high-level individuals, completes committee projects, logs messages from constituents, sits in on the Senator's meetings, guides tours in the Capitol building, and attends Senate committee and Supreme Court hearings. Alayna is grateful for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in her field through TWC's program. An Honors Travel Grant and a John Dingell Scholarship from the Ford Motor Company have made it possible for Alayna to spend the semester in Washington. Way to represent Honors, Alayna!
