The First Republican Student Scientific-Practical Conference on Linguistics and Language Teaching held at KSU.
On April 10 of this year, the first Republican student scientific-practical conference on the topic “Innovations in Modern Linguistics and Language Teaching” was held at Berdakh Karakalpak State University. The event was organized at the initiative of the university’s Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Department of English Linguistics. Organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Department of English Linguistics, this pioneering event brought together talented student researchers from universities across the republic. The conference was opened by the university’s Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Innovation, I. Turdimambetov, who wished success to all participants. Following the opening, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Dj. Kurbanbayev, and Associate Professor, PhD in Philological Sciences, G. Tleumuratov, took the floor. All emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping the future of science, education, and innovation in Uzbekistan. They stated that the main purpose of the conference was to provide students and young researchers an opportunity to present their scientific work, to discuss achievements in the field, and to explore modern innovations in linguistics and language teaching through academic research. The significance of the event lies in the fact that it created an opportunity to combine not only theoretical knowledge but also practical approaches. This platform enabled young scholars to present their ideas to a wider audience, exchange experiences with experts, and receive valuable feedback to support the development of their research. During the conference, participants presented scientific works covering modern approaches in linguistics and language teaching, innovative technologies and methodologies, as well as new ideas and practical experiences related to the global development of linguistics. Attendees shared their opinions on pressing issues such as the study of innovative pedagogical methods and the effective use of modern didactic tools and online resources. The conference provided students with an opportunity to share their research not only with one another but also with mentors and specialists. These exchanges of ideas also helped young researchers receive effective guidance and advice for their future scientific activities. Professors and lecturers in the event gave constructive feedback on the students’ scientific works and offered recommendations for their further improvement. The First Republican Student Scientific-Practical Conference aimed to introduce new approaches in the scientific and educational fields and to create new opportunities for students to conduct research. The conference made a significant contribution not only to the renewal of scientific and pedagogical approaches but also to the development of youth research in the field of linguistics.
