🔐 As AI becomes more involved in decision-making, cybersecurity is no longer only about protecting data. Organisations also need to ensure that AI-generated decisions can be verified, controlled and trusted.
🧠 At SWIN-CRIDS 2026, Dr Pham Van Dai, Dean of the Smart IT Faculty at Metropolia University Vietnam, emphasised that even as systems become more autonomous, humans must still define the boundaries, validate outcomes and remain accountable for final decisions.
⚛️ He also highlighted the need to prepare early for emerging risks. With technologies such as quantum computing and AI continuing to converge, cybersecurity cannot wait until these technologies become mainstream.
🎓 This shift also changes what future technology professionals need to learn. Students must go beyond security fundamentals and apply their knowledge in real business environments to prepare for technologies that may not yet fully exist today.
🌐 His insights underline a broader point: the future of technology is not only about building smarter systems, but also about making them secure, trustworthy and responsible.
