𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐎̂́𝐂 Đ𝐈𝐄̂̀𝐔 𝐓𝐑𝐈̣ 𝐋𝐀𝐎 𝐇𝐈𝐄̣̂𝐍 𝐍𝐀𝐘 Đ𝐀̃ Đ𝐔̉ 𝐓𝐎̂́𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐔̛𝐀?

Mặc dù bệnh lao có thể chữa khỏi, nhưng việc điều trị vẫn còn nhiều thách thức:
• Phác đồ điều trị lao thông thường đã được sử dụng hơn 40 năm.
• Thời gian điều trị kéo dài ít nhất 6 tháng, gây nhiều khó khăn cho người bệnh trong việc tuân thủ điều trị.
• Một số thuốc có thể gây tác dụng không mong muốn trên gan, da và hệ tiêu hóa.
• Với các trường hợp lao kháng thuốc, thời gian điều trị có thể kéo dài từ 9–24 tháng và phải sử dụng nhiều loại thuốc khác nhau.

Chính vì vậy, các nhà khoa học trên thế giới đang không ngừng nghiên cứu những phác đồ điều trị mới nhằm tìm kiếm giải pháp điều trị hiệu quả hơn, an toàn hơn và thuận tiện hơn cho người bệnh.

Nghiên cứu A5409 là một nghiên cứu thử nghiệm lâm sàng quốc tế đang được triển khai tại nhiều quốc gia, trong đó có Việt Nam. Nghiên cứu hiện tại đang được thực hiện tại Bệnh viện Phổi Trung ương, dưới sự hợp tác của UNC Việt Nam.

Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu là đánh giá tính an toàn và hiệu quả của các phác đồ điều trị mới đối với bệnh lao phổi nhạy cảm thuốc. Nghiên cứu sử dụng một số thuốc nghiên cứu mới, bao gồm phác đồ chứa Bedaquilin, TBI-223 và Sutezolid, kết hợp với các thuốc điều trị lao hiện có để tìm hiểu tính an toàn và khả năng cải thiện kết quả điều trị của các phác đồ thuốc mới này.

Nghiên cứu dự kiến nghiên cứu tuyển chọn 315 người tham gia trên toàn thế giới. Trong đó, có 50 người tham gia tại Việt Nam. Người bệnh có thể tham gia vào nghiên cứu nếu mắc lao phổi được khẳng định bằng xét nghiệm Xpert đờm (dương tính mức độ trung bình hoặc cao), từ 18 tuổi trở lên, không có tiền sử mắc lao trong 5 năm gần đây, điều trị lao dưới 7 ngày cho đợt bệnh hiện tại, và không vi phạm các tiêu chuẩn loại trừ trong nghiên cứu.
Sự tham gia của người bệnh trong các nghiên cứu lâm sàng đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc phát triển các phương pháp điều trị mới, góp phần nâng cao chất lượng chăm sóc sức khỏe cho cộng đồng.
Việc tham gia nghiên cứu là hoàn toàn tự nguyện. Tất cả người tham gia sẽ được cung cấp đầy đủ thông tin về nghiên cứu trước khi đưa ra quyết định tham gia.

📌 DỰ ÁN EBAI TRIỂN KHAI GIÁM SÁT HỖ TRỢ LẦN 3 TẠI CÁC CƠ SỞ NGHIÊN CỨU
👉 Từ tháng 03/2026, Văn phòng UNC tại Việt Nam phối hợp với Sở Y tế/Trung tâm Kiểm soát bệnh tật các tỉnh/thành phố triển khai đợt giám sát hỗ trợ lần 3 trong khuôn khổ Dự án EBAI – “Nghiên cứu mở rộng chương trình tư vấn giảm uống rượu bia để dự phòng HIV/AIDS tại Việt Nam, thử nghiệm ngẫu nhiên có đối chứng theo cụm”.
👉 Trong quá trình làm việc, đoàn công tác đã rà soát tiến độ triển khai tại từng cơ sở nghiên cứu, đồng thời trao đổi với các đơn vị về kế hoạch hoạt động trong thời gian tới. Đoàn cũng ghi nhận những thuận lợi, khó khăn và nhu cầu hỗ trợ kỹ thuật, từ đó cung cấp các hướng dẫn chuyên môn nhằm bảo đảm hoạt động nghiên cứu được thực hiện đúng quy trình và đạt hiệu quả cao.
👉 Dự án EBAI trân trọng ghi nhận sự phối hợp tích cực và tinh thần đồng hành của Sở Y tế/Trung tâm Kiểm soát bệnh tật các tỉnh/thành phố cùng các cơ sở điều trị HIV/AIDS. Sự cam kết và nỗ lực của các đơn vị là yếu tố quan trọng giúp dự án duy trì tiến độ và hướng tới hoàn thành các mục tiêu nghiên cứu theo kế hoạch.

📌 THIRD ROUND OF SUPPORT MONITORING UNDER THE EBAI STUDY
👉 Since March 2026, the UNC Vietnam has collaborated with Departments of Health/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to implement the third round of monitoring visits under the EBAI study – ”Scaling up the brief alcohol intervention to prevent HIV infection in Vietnam: a cluster randomized, implementation trial".
👉 During this monitoring visit, the team reviewed the implementation progress at each study site and discussed upcoming activity plans with the participating units. The team also identified key facilitators, challenges, and technical support needs, thereby providing targeted guidance to ensure that study activities are conducted in accordance with approved SOPs, and ensure high-quality implementation.
👉 The EBAI study highly appreciates the strong collaboration and commitment demonstrated by the Departments of Health/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and HIV/AIDS treatment facilities. Their continued efforts and dedication play an essential role in maintaining study progress and moving toward the successful completion of the study’s planned objectives.

“Đúng vậy, chúng ta có thể chấm dứt bệnh lao” là chủ đề của buổi họp CAB tháng 3/2026. Tại buổi họp, các thành viên Ban cố vấn cộng đồng đã cùng theo dõi phần trình bày chuyên đề và video về bệnh lao, qua đó có thêm cái nhìn tổng quan về bệnh lao cũng như tình hình bệnh lao tại Việt Nam và trên thế giới. Sau đó, các thành viên đã thảo luận sôi nổi về những khó khăn trong công tác phòng ngừa, phát hiện và điều trị bệnh lao, đồng thời trao đổi về vai trò của cộng đồng trong việc nâng cao nhận thức, giảm kỳ thị và hỗ trợ người bệnh tiếp cận dịch vụ. COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING 03.2026🎉🎉🎉

“Yes, we can end tuberculosis” was the theme of the CAB meeting in March 2026. At the meeting, the Community Advisory Board members watched a presentation and a video on TB and the TB situation in Vietnam and worldwide. They then engaged in lively discussions about the challenges in prevention, case detection, and treatment, and exchanged views on the community’s role in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and helping patients access services. CAB also recognized and shared UNC Vietnam’s contributions to ending TB. Thank you for the active participation and meaningful contributions from all CAB members!
