[RECAP] WORKSHOP: IS AI “STEALING” IT JOBS FASTER THAN WE THINK?
On September 24, 2026, PTIT students joined a Tech Talk workshop organized by Rikkeisoft in collaboration with the Center for International Education, featuring practical insights from Mr. Hoang Manh Toan, Project Manager, BrSE at Rikkeisoft, on how AI is reshaping the IT industry and the skills professionals need in the AI era.
The workshop opened with a direct question: “Is AI stealing IT jobs?” From an industry perspective, AI is raising the bar for recruitment. Beyond technical expertise, students are expected to demonstrate adaptability, logical and critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills.
The discussion then turned to building a Job-Ready IT Portfolio that meets today’s recruitment expectations. Companies do not prohibit the use of AI, but they will look beyond the code to assess the thinking behind it. To succeed in technical interviews, students need to demonstrate critical thinking, a solid understanding of data structures, and the ability to clearly and honestly explain their technical choices.
The workshop also outlined a practical roadmap for students: Year 2 - strengthen DSA, OOP, and Database fundamentals; Year 3 - develop personal projects, Git workflows, and Unit Testing skills; Year 4 - complete a professional portfolio, deploy real-world products, and prepare for OJT opportunities.
In particular, Rikkeisoft awarded five internship scholarships and three 50% scholarships for its corporate training program, while also committing to provide 100% of students with access to Rikkeisoft’s exclusive learning materials.
