Khoa Vật Lý - Vật Lý Kỹ Thuật là một trong những khoa ra đời từ những ngày trường Cao đẳng Khoa Học (Viện Đại Học Đông Dương) - Đại học Khoa học Sài Gòn được thành lập 1941. Khoa đã đào tạo được rất nhiều nhân tài cho đất nước trên nhiều lãnh vực. Khoa Vật Lý - Vật Lý Kỹ Thuật hiện nay có tám bộ môn, nghiên cứu và đào tạo trong các lãnh vực then chốt của đất nước, bao gồm:

🌏 [ICEBA2026] CHUNG NHỊP KẾT NỐI – HỢP TÁC HỌC THUẬT QUỐC TẾ

Nhằm chuẩn bị chu đáo cho công tác tổ chức Hội nghị ICEBA 2026, vừa qua, Khoa Vật lý - Vật lý kỹ thuật đã có buổi họp và làm việc tại Trường Đại học Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu để cùng trao đổi, thảo luận và thống nhất các nội dung quan trọng trong quá trình triển khai Hội nghị.

Các đơn vị đã tập trung trao đổi về kế hoạch tổ chức, công tác phối hợp, nội dung chương trình và các khâu chuẩn bị, hướng đến một Hội nghị được tổ chức chuyên nghiệp, hiệu quả và tạo không gian kết nối học thuật ý nghĩa.

📅 Hội nghị ICEBA sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 2,3,4/11/2026, với các hoạt động được tổ chức tại Trường Đại học Khoa học tự nhiên, ĐHQG-HCM và Trường Đại học Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu.

🤝 Sự phối hợp chặt chẽ giữa các đơn vị tổ chức là nền tảng quan trọng để ICEBA 2026 trở thành diễn đàn học thuật, giao lưu và kết nối, góp phần thúc đẩy trao đổi tri thức và hợp tác trong cộng đồng khoa học.

🌏 [ICEBA 2026] UNITED IN CONNECTION – ADVANCING INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC COLLABORATION

In preparation for the ICEBA 2026 Conference, the Organizing Committee held a meeting and working session at Ba Ria–Vung Tau University to discuss, exchange ideas, and align on key aspects of the Conference’s organization and implementation.

During the session, members of the Organizing Committee focused on event planning, coordination, program development, and logistical preparations, working toward a professionally organized and impactful conference that fosters meaningful academic exchange and collaboration.

🏢 [COMPANY TOUR] KHÁM PHÁ MÔI TRƯỜNG LÀM VIỆC THỰC TẾ TẠI RENESAS 💙

Ngày 22/9 vừa qua, các bạn sinh viên Khoa Vật lý – Vật lý kỹ thuật đã có dịp tham gia Company Tour tại Công ty Renesas Việt Nam, một trong những doanh nghiệp công nghệ hoạt động trong lĩnh vực bán dẫn và thiết kế vi mạch.

🔹 Tìm hiểu về Renesas và lĩnh vực bán dẫn
Sinh viên được giới thiệu về hoạt động, lĩnh vực chuyên môn và môi trường làm việc tại Renesas, qua đó hiểu thêm về hệ sinh thái nghề nghiệp đang ngày càng phát triển trong lĩnh vực semiconductor – IC design – electronics engineering.

🌌 [RECAP] SEMINAR HỌC THUẬT | WHAT CONSTITUTES A GRAVITATIONAL WAVE IN AN EXPANDING UNIVERSE?

Ngày 22/9/2026, Khoa Vật lý – Vật lý kỹ thuật đã tổ chức thành công seminar với sự tham gia của Prof. Yi-Zen Chu – National Central University (NCU), Taiwan.

🔭 Từ câu hỏi “What constitutes a gravitational wave in an expanding universe?”, seminar mở ra những trao đổi chuyên sâu về sóng hấp dẫn, vũ trụ học, lý thuyết trường lượng tử và vật lý hạt, đồng thời mang đến những góc nhìn mới về bản chất của sóng hấp dẫn trong một vũ trụ đang giãn nở.

🎓 Bên cạnh nội dung học thuật, chương trình còn là dịp để giảng viên, sinh viên và học viên trao đổi trực tiếp với giáo sư quốc tế, tìm hiểu về hướng nghiên cứu, môi trường học thuật và cơ hội học tập sau đại học trong các lĩnh vực liên quan.

On September 22, 2026, the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Physics successfully hosted an academic seminar featuring Prof. Yi-Zen Chu from National Central University (NCU), Taiwan.

🔭 Centered on the question “What constitutes a gravitational wave in an expanding universe?”, the seminar offered in-depth discussions and new perspectives on gravitational waves, cosmology, quantum field theory, and particle physics, shedding light on the nature of gravitational waves in an expanding universe.

🎓 Beyond the academic discussions, the seminar provided an excellent opportunity for faculty members, students, and graduate students to engage directly with an international scholar, explore research directions, academic environments, and postgraduate study opportunities in related fields.

🔬 TIẾP CẬN CÔNG NGHỆ CHẾ TẠO BÁN DẪN TIÊN TIẾN CÙNG CHUYÊN GIA IBM RESEARCH

📅 Trong hai ngày 14–15/9/2026, Trường Đại học Khoa học tự nhiên, ĐHQG-HCM tổ chức lớp học chuyên đề về công nghệ chế tạo bán dẫn tiên tiến, với sự giảng dạy của TS. Nguyễn Văn Sơn – Giáo sư thỉnh giảng theo chương trình VNU350, Principal Research Staff tại IBM Research – AI Hardware Research Center, Hoa Kỳ.

💡 Nội dung lớp học tập trung vào quy trình chế tạo vi mạch hiện đại và các công nghệ then chốt như quang khắc DUV/EUV, lắng đọng màng mỏng CVD/ALD, công nghệ plasma và khắc vật liệu, cấy ion, CMP, cùng sự phát triển của các cấu trúc transistor tiên tiến từ Planar MOSFET, FinFET đến GAA/Nanosheet. Qua đó, học viên có cơ hội tiếp cận kiến thức gắn với thực tiễn nghiên cứu và phát triển công nghệ bán dẫn, từ vật liệu nano, điện môi và kim loại đến chế tạo, tích hợp và đóng gói linh kiện.

🤝 Với nhiều năm kinh nghiệm nghiên cứu trong các lĩnh vực vật liệu và công nghệ bán dẫn nano, CVD/PVD/ALD, plasma, vật liệu low-k, công nghệ logic, bộ nhớ, tích hợp phần cứng AI và hệ thống trên chip, những chia sẻ của TS. Nguyễn Văn Sơn đã mang đến cho người học nhiều kiến thức chuyên môn và góc nhìn thực tiễn về các xu hướng công nghệ đang định hình thế hệ vi mạch tiên tiến hiện nay.

🔬 EXPLORING ADVANCED SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES WITH AN IBM RESEARCH EXPERT

📅 On September 14–15, 2026, the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), organized a specialized course on advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies, led by Dr. Nguyen Van Son, VNU350 Visiting Professor and Principal Research Staff at IBM Research – AI Hardware Research Center, USA.

💡 The course focused on modern semiconductor manufacturing processes and key technologies, including DUV/EUV lithography, CVD/ALD thin-film deposition, plasma processing and etching, ion implantation, and chemical mechanical planarization (CMP), as well as the evolution of advanced transistor architectures from Planar MOSFET and FinFET to GAA/Nanosheet structures. Through these topics, participants gained practical insights into semiconductor research and technology development, covering areas ranging from nanomaterials, dielectrics, and metals to device fabrication, integration, and packaging.

🤝 Drawing on years of research experience in nanoscale semiconductor materials and technologies, CVD/PVD/ALD, plasma processing, low-k materials, logic and memory technologies, AI hardware integration, and system-on-chip (SoC) technologies, Dr. Nguyen Van Son shared valuable technical expertise and practical perspectives on the emerging technologies shaping the next generation of advanced semiconductor devices.

📅 Ngày 19/9/2026, Quỹ Phát triển ĐHQG-HCM phối hợp với Ngân hàng TMCP Lộc Phát Việt Nam (LPBank) tổ chức Lễ trao Học bổng sau đại học năm 2026 từ nguồn tài trợ của LPBank dành cho ĐHQG-HCM.

🎓 VNU-HCM AWARDS VND 1.735 BILLION IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO SUPPORT GRADUATE STUDENTS IN SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNOLOGY AND IC DESIGN

📅 On September 19, 2026, the VNU-HCM Development Fund, in collaboration with Loc Phat Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank (LPBank), held the 2026 Graduate Scholarship Award Ceremony, funded by LPBank in support of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).

💡 The program awarded 43 scholarships, with a total value of VND 1.735 billion, to graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding academic and research achievements in semiconductor technology and integrated circuit (IC) design.
