Following the recent trials, the players listed below have been invited for further consideration as Lakapi Samoa continues the selection process for the Samoa U18 New Zealand Tour 2026.

Programme Schedule
Friday 31 July
Fitness Testing & Position-Specific Skills
🕝 2:30pm – 4:00pm
📍 Lakapi Samoa Field 2

Saturday 01 August
Unit-Specific Training & Match Scenarios (Contact Session)
🕤 9:30am – 11:00am
📍Lakapi Samoa Field 2

Medical Screening
Players requiring medical screening are asked to arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled session.

Travel Documents
Please bring your passport if you have one.

Players Travelling from Savai'i
Please pack for an overnight stay.

Players staying with family are welcome to do so.

Players staying at the Lakapi Samoa High Performance Unit will be provided with dinner on Friday evening and breakfast on Saturday morning.

Selection Process
Following this weekend's programme, the squad will be reviewed and a further squad reduction will be announced on Wednesday 05 August, as preparations continue towards the final touring squad.

We congratulate all players invited back and encourage everyone to make the most of this opportunity.

A reminder to all players who attended testing last week that our next session is as follows:

📅 Friday 24 July
📍 Lakapi Samoa High Performance Unit (HPU)
🕑 Meet 2:00pm
🏃 Training commences 2:30pm
✅ Finish by 4:00pm

This will be followed by:
📅 Trials: Saturday 25 July
📍 Lakapi Samoa Field 2
🕘 Start: 9:00am sharp

𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
* Players born in 2010 are not eligible for selection for the Samoa U18 programme.
* All players must bring their own:
* Rugby shorts
* Rugby socks
* Mouthguard
* Rugby boots
* Please arrive hydrated, prepared, and ready to train and trial at your best.

Players travelling from Savai’i
* Please pack for an overnight stay.
* If you are staying with family, that is perfectly fine.
* For those staying at the HPU, dinner on Friday evening and breakfast on Saturday morning will be provided.

This is an important opportunity as we continue identifying and developing the next generation of Samoan rugby talent. We look forward to seeing all players give their very best as they take another step on the Samoa U18 pathway.
