Carey Training have now opened enrolments for CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways for school enrolled participants that meet the eligibility criteria for the VET for School Students Guidelines.

This program is subsidised by the Department for Innovation and Skills for eligible school students and participants will only be charged a fee of $100 upon enrolment.

Start Date: 22nd August 2022 (Term 2, Week 4)
End Date: 30th September 2022 (Term 2, Week 9)
Duration: 6 weeks, fulltime
Time: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 3:30pm
Theory & Practical location: Carey Training
108-110 Mooringe Avenue, North Plympton SA 5037
Fee per participant: $100

Throughout the course participants will be undertaking a combination of theory assessments and practical tasks based on a live works project onsite. Participants will gain the general skills and knowledge to gain entry into the following industries in the form of employment or an apprenticeship:
• Construction
• Carpentry
• Steel Framing
• Tiling
• Concreting

Carey Training are currently accepting enrolment for an upcoming fee free Introduction to Construction available for Jobseekers and youths!

This introduction course is targeted towards youth and unemployed participants looking to gain a taste of the construction industry and the varied pathways available. Participants will gain an introduction level of knowledge and skills while undertaking theory based components and undertaking a practical works project – Attached is the flyer.

SSDIS01008 Introduction to Construction
CPCCCM2012 Work safely at heights
CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
CPCCCM2005 Use construction tools and equipment
CPCCOM1012 Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project

Eligibility:
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
• be a permanent Australian resident; or
• hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency.
• To be physically fit to undertake manual tasks
AND ARE
• 16 years or over and not enrolled in secondary school

All participants are required to undertake the Upfront Assessment of Needs (UAN) process to assess their current language, literacy and numeracy capabilities and identify any gaps that need to be addressed throughout the program in the form of additional supports in place or gaps to be identified before training can commence.

Carey Training have now open enrolment for Stackable VET – Introduction to Construction, Plumbing and Roof Plumbing. This course is for school enrolled participants that meet the eligibility criteria.

This Stackable VET is an entry into the construction, plumbing and roof plumbing sector. This program will help participants gain basic knowledge and give school students the opportunity to try out a different vocational pathway. These units may contribute toward future traineeship and apprenticeship programs

Start Date: Monday 1st of May 2023
End Date: Tuesday 9th of May 2023
Duration: 1 week
Time: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 3:30pm
Theory & Practical location: Carey Training

Fee per participant: $850
*this program is approved and funded by the department for education for VETRO eligible participants*

Eligibility:

To be eligible for access to a subsidised training place in an approved course, a school
student must meet the following criteria. They must be:

- Be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
- Enrolled in Year 10, 11 or 12 and are 16 years of age or turning 16 years of age

Participants must undertake VETRO process which includes:
- School Enrolled VET Referral Form (Part A, B & C) - must meet all requirements

Carey Training are currently accepting enrolments for an upcoming subsidised Certificate II in Construction available for Jobseekers and youth!

The program includes the full CPC20120 Certificate II in Construction certificate along with white card, working at heights, scaffolding and EWP tickets.

Program is scheduled to be delivered from the Monday 6th March 2023 to the Friday 21st April 2023 where participants will be working on a live works project.

Participants must meet the following eligible criteria to be eligible for the program:
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
• be a permanent Australian resident; or
• hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency.
• To be physically fit to undertake manual tasks
AND ARE:
• 16 years or over and not enrolled at school
