For Kenneth Rintaari, an AKU-SONAM alumnus and paediatric casualty nurse at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, nursing has taught him to look beyond what is immediately visible and reflect on the underlying issues affecting people’s lives.

That perspective inspired Beyond the Symptoms, a self-help book that explores the deeper issues behind the problems we often see on the surface.
