The and team arrived in Stellenbosch, Western Cape on the 29th September and emotions were high as they finished the 8 day Sasol Solar Challenge and being away from home for 15 days.
The Solar Flyers showed much tenacity in getting their solar flyer driving and only managed to do so on the 7th day of the 8 day Sasol Solar Challenge, which earned them much respect from their peers in this challenge.
Although the flyer did not clock in the kilometers they targeted, the fact that they could manage to build a solar panel car in as little as 3 months, that can drive was the most rewarding experience and really showed how innovation meets endurance living up to the Sasol Solar Challenge
An Awards ceremony was held on the 30th of September at the GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World and the team could walked away with a medal for participation, which only fuel their commitment for the next Sasol Solar Challenge which is in 2020.
