The result starts before the sample reaches the laboratory.
A laboratory can only test what it receives. If a sample does not adequately represent the product or batch—or is incorrectly packaged, stored or transported—the result may not provide the complete picture needed for a confident decision.

Before submitting a sample, check:
• What decision must the result support?
• Does the sample appropriately represent the batch?
• Are the quantity and container correct?
• Has it been protected from contamination or deterioration?
• Have you supplied enough product and batch information?

Advancing Our EU-GMP Journey
On Thursday, 16 July 2026, the Ecogreen Analytics team was pleased to welcome Dr Mathias Schmidt of HerbResearch, Germany, during his visit to South Africa on behalf of European clients. As part of his visit, Dr Schmidt conducted an EU-GMP inspection of our facility.

The visit represents an important milestone in our continued commitment to strengthening our quality systems, regulatory readiness and alignment with internationally recognised Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

EU-GMP expectations place a strong emphasis on robust pharmaceutical quality systems, controlled processes, comprehensive documentation, data integrity and a sustained culture of quality. Hosting this inspection provided our team with the opportunity to demonstrate the systems, infrastructure and technical capabilities that support our laboratory operations.

Throughout this important regulatory process, business at Ecogreen Analytics continues as normal. Our team remains fully focused on delivering dependable analytical services to our clients while maintaining the high standards of quality, scientific integrity and regulatory compliance that underpin everything we do.

At the same time, the expansion plans envisioned by Greg and Sonja continue to forge ahead and gain momentum. Ecogreen Analytics has shown steady progress in strengthening its capabilities, expanding its reach, and positions itself for the next phase of growth.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Technical Director, Greg Ondrejkovic, who passed away on Sunday morning following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Together with his wife, Sonja, Greg helped build Ecogreen Analytics from the ground up. Through his scientific expertise, unwavering commitment to quality, and passion for excellence, he laid the technical foundations upon which our company continues to grow. His leadership, mentorship, and dedication have left an enduring mark on our team, our clients, and the industry as a whole.

Greg's legacy will continue to live on in the work we do every day, and we remain committed to building upon the vision that he and Sonja created together.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Sonja, their sons, Kai and Xander, their family, friends, colleagues, and everyone whose lives Greg touched.

Greg will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always remain an integral part of the Ecogreen Analytics family.
