Please do join the Khayelitsha Engineering Society Technical Talk with Mr Maswana Monwabisi as he will be going through the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning system.
Mr Monwabisi Maswana is currently working at Adcock Ingram Critical Care as Validation Coordinator in Project and Process Improvement Department (PPID). His responsibilities are to develop site validation strategy, to identify validation and qualification gaps that needs to be corrected to meet compliance state and also maintain Site VMP.
Other responsibilities include coordination of all qualification and validation activities within the organisation, plan and schedule all qualification and validation activities. His role is to provide technical guidance to ensure a sound qualification and validation program, to provide assurance that the system/ equipment and process performs in accordance with intended purpose.
He previously worked at Biovac Institute in Cape Town as Qualification Officer (contract January 2014, Engineering Department) responsible for Upgrade of QC Lab. This role mainly involved commissioning, qualification and validating the facility to meet SAHPRA Requirements. Monwabisi Maswana later joined QA Department as Validation Scientist (Full-time November 2014), responsible for Automation Project of Packing Equipment in VLP and also involved in Technical Transfer of Prevnar 7.
His career started at Aspen Pharmacare, PE in various departments as contract employee from 2005 till 2009. He worked in Solid Packing Department (Tablet and Capsule packing) as contract packer, later joined Encapsulation Department, Tablet Compression Department and also in SMS responsible for granulation, compression and packing of finished product.
He then joined Validation Department, (Full-time February 2009), his role were to commission, qualification and validation of two new manufacturing facilities (Unit 2a and 2B) utilities and process equipment. As an addition to this he was assigned to lead in the Upgrade Project of the existing facility that required to be refurbish to meet FDA, WHO and MCC requirements and also to coordinate and lead Aspen Pharmacare EL Warehouse Project.
