MammalMAP Welcome to Africa's largest mammal mapping and conservation project -- putting Africa's mammals on the map!
(2)

Welcome to Africa's largest mammal conservation project! The aim of MammalMAP (the African Mammal Atlas Project) is to collect and collate 21st century distribution records for all the mammal species in Africa - the big ones, the small ones, the dry ones and the wet ones. This information is urgently needed to guide animal conservation efforts across the African continent. The most exciting thing

about this project is that ANYONE, ANYWHERE in Africa can get involved! By getting involved, and helping us collect information about the whereabouts of Africa's mammals, each and every contributor plays a crucial role in biodiversity conservation. To find out more visit http://mammalmap.blog.com/category/mammalmap-blog-com/, or simply hang out on this page and let the mammal enthusiasm sweep you off your feet! MammalMAP is a partnership project between the Animal Demography Unit at UCT and the Mammal Research Institute at the University of Pretoria.
