Concerned Needy Students

Concerned Needy Students This is a platform for students in Malawi in demand for the right to education.

15/10/2022

As the platform comes back to us, it has been expanded in its scope so that we are not just limited to financial intervention for needy students.

The scope of the platform has now gone across to all education related rights as enshrined under section 25 of the constitution of Malawi.

The platform will be a voice for all students starting from primary school, secondary school as well as college and universities.

The platform comes to us as a vehicle for young people who seek to be part of the future of this country.

Malawi needs informed youths for it's progress. Informed youths are the products of a better education. Better education will never come alone. We need to demand a better education for a Malawian child.

This is why CONCERNED NEEDY STUDENTS (CNS) rebrands its name to PLATFORM FOR SECTION 25 (PFS-25)

Ladies and gentlemen, with PFS-25, We are determined to achieve more for a Malawian youth.

Remain with us as we grow together!

Dear all,

The executive director of concerned needy students, Mr. Charles Dokera Thole was on a one year leave as he was privileged to serve university of Malawi students union as the President.

He took this leave from his office to prevent conflict of duty between his office as the President and his office as the director of CNS.

The board, as it was then, decided to recruit new leadership which was intended to work for the progress of the platform. With other technical as well as administrative challenges, we registered little progress.

Last week, the executive director has been relieved from his duties as the President as his term came to an end. This seeks to inform you all that the mighty CNS platform is yet to hit the ground, this time powerful as it Started.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back

SPONSOR A GADGET CAMPAIGN

1. Do you have two gadgets worthy for e-learning?
2. Do you have means to source a gadget to help the needy?
CNS is pleased to launch a 'sponsor a gadget campaign' to facilitate an easy access of gadgets for needy and deserving students so that in the era of e-learning, no one should be left behind.
It is our belief and we are optimistic that just as members of good will showed support during a 'please help campaign' when scores of students were unable to see their results due to balances in their portal, your invaluable support saved them all.
This time, the future of e learning is in abeyance especially to a needy and deserving student without a gadget. We are prepared to see the college closing unless there is a solution on how needy students without gadgets will be helped.
CNS, as it has always pledged to speak and think on behalf of needy students, comes to you with a 'sponsor a gadget campaign'

>Do you have two gadgets wothy for e-learning?
>Do you have the means to source one gadget and donate?

Please contact the director of CNS Mr. Charles Dokera on 0995363996 to be connected to the beneficiary.

You can also contact The chairperson of the platform: Mary Mkandawire

OR The secretary general Mr. Alexander Mtiah

Hello CNS fans: UPDATE OF OUR ACTIVITIES;

CNS wishes to thank all members and the general public of good will for an invaluable support towards the initiative.

CNS has taken abit longer before an elaborate update was made available to the general public due to some other iminent commitments that the executive was day in day out trying to fix.

As we opened the semester, CNS was flooded with a number of concerns from needy students. much of these concerns boardered on tuition fees, accomodation and meals.

CNS has been operating on bankrupcy basis but succeeded to walk through with the concerns though not in their totality.

With an unquantifiable moral as well as financial support, CNS succeeded to see atmost 10 destitute students registered, about 3 with meals and 2 with accomodation.

we must mention, CNS relied heavily on the good will of the general public which among others include chanco alumini.

The exexutive thought of raising money for business activities just to keep the platform functional in times of emergency. the executive is working towards the establishment of the same.

Ladies and gentlement, CNS plans of bringing external sponsors to the initiative and this becomes the most sophisticated masterplan. For this to be effected, however, CNS needs to be registered with the college and hold a bank account.

CNS has applied for registration to the relevant authorities and we ask the general public to keep the faith.

We will be making a quartery update in an elaborative manner to keep the cns fans aware and to appreciate the need of being part of the cns' success.

Ladies and gentlemen, allow the African proverb have its meaning today: " I AM BECAUSE WE ARE"

Good morning!

HELLO CNS FANS!

Help us in wishing a successful journey to our chanco chapter executive team which comprises of:

Aggie Mnthali, Thokozani Bezai, Shadreck Nyirenda, Christopher Shawa, Yamikani Chizenga, Alexander Mtilah, Marie Mkandawire, Eliah Thanks Mwalwanda, Vero Trinity Banda, James R Martin, Macpheson Mwambinga, Bongani Msiska, Morris M'biya, Mary Sibo Mpalapandu, Barthromew Enock, Williams Kaphika, Yankho Ching'amba, Teresa Chimaimba ,Jellex Pearson,Stephano Omovo Kachingwe and Leonard Mkomo.

This new team will have an imediate task of registering CNS with school authorities, opening bank account, drafting the constitution of chanco CNS and electing the leadership of chanco CNS as well as planning yearly activities of chanco CNS.

Charles Dokera will, upon the establishment of this chapter with its executive team, join MZUNI where there is Peter Machilika to launch CNS MZUNI chapter. From MZUNI, CNS will go to BUNDA then COM and all other colleges.

This therefore becomes evident that Charles Dokera will not be able to hold any key position in these college chapters. There is CNS interrim body on national level. Those proven effective in college chapter leaderships will be able to contest in the national executive leadership to carry on with the good work.

To make this organization's agendas realized, CNS urges the executive members to be patriotic and selfless. It should be known at the word go that the journey wont be easy as you may be anticipating but it requires determination and vision driven spirit to see your struggle to the end.

CNS recieved 100 applications through email, facebook online application and WhatsApp. The selection has considered year of study, gender and reasons given in applications. There are first years (pre~yearos) up to fourth years.

CNS will not be diverted in its agenda so should the college chapters' leadership. you will recieve resistance but successful are those who focus on their mission.
