SRC met with FUNDI and Executive management in trying to find a solution to the current problem of allowances. after deliberations the FUNDI, Finance and Executive management assured the SRC the following:
Students will start receiving their allowances today from 7pm.
while others will receive them in the early ours of the morning morning Saturday.
The last batch of students will receive their allowances around 7pm Monday.
Sponsor funded students will be part of the students receiving allowances provided their bursary has confirmed the allowances with the university.
First year students who applied manually through the university were uploaded today, and should check their registration statuses for confirmation purposes. They will receive their allowances as from next week, provided they submitted their documents through FUNDI.
NB: The list that was published today by Financial Aid today was incomplete, students who did not reflect there must not panic. For any further clarity about it students must report to step 5 (Financial Aid)
The academic activities will not resume on Monday, they remain suspended until further notice.
SRC is doing everything in its powers to have all these matters sorted and put to rest as per the initial agreement.
