Buffalo City TVET College N6 Public Management students recently embarked on an educational visit to Bisho as part of their practical learning experience, aimed at exposing them to the working environment and providing valuable insight into the responsibilities and duties they can expect to undertake in their chosen field.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore two key institutions, namely the Office of the Public Protector and the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.
At both institutions, students attended informative presentations delivered by representatives from the respective offices, who shared valuable insights into their roles, functions and operations. The students were also given an opportunity to engage with the presenters, ask questions and gain a better understanding of how the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom are applied in the workplace.
The visit provided an important learning opportunity, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience while preparing students for the professional environment.
Through initiatives such as these, Buffalo City TVET College continues to encourage experiential learning and equip students with the knowledge, exposure and confidence needed to transition successfully into the world of work.
