⚡ THE FOLLOW-UP WEBINAR IS HERE — AS PROMISED! ⚡

After the fantastic response to our SANS 10142-1 Ed. 3.3 Amendment Webinar, the five collaborating organisations are coming together again for another FREE industry webinar — this time with three focused technical discussions.

📅 22 September 2026
⏰ 18:00
💻 Online Webinar
💰 FREE TO ATTEND
🌍 OPEN TO THE INDUSTRY

Once again, TDMI Training, Nearby Electrician, PQRS, AREP and ECA will bring their experience to the same table, with:

🎙️ Wynand Moller — TDMI Training & Nearby Electrician
🎙️ Anthony Schewitz — ECA
🎙️ Carel Ballack — PQRS & AREP

This time, each presenter will lead one dedicated technical topic, while keeping the format open for discussion, interpretation and input from the other presenters.

⚡ THE THREE DISCUSSIONS

1️⃣ CoC Annexure 1 & Test Reports — Wynand Moller

We will take a closer look at the relationship between the Certificate of Compliance, Annexure 1 and the applicable test reports — what needs to be recorded, how the documentation fits together, and the practical responsibilities around completing and issuing compliant documentation.

2️⃣ Loop Testing & PSCC — Anthony Schewitz

A deeper technical discussion around earth-fault loop testing and Prospective Short-Circuit Current (PSCC), looking at the current requirements, testing principles and how these measurements influence the safety and verification of an electrical installation.

3️⃣ V-0-V Connections — Carel Ballack

We will unpack the increasingly important subject of V-0-V connections, looking at their application in modern electrical systems and alternative supplies, together with the standards and practical considerations surrounding these connections.

These are topics that continue to generate questions in the field — and this webinar is designed to create a platform where they can be discussed in depth, practically and openly.

🤝 Five organisations. Three presenters. Three focused technical discussions.

And once again:

✅ No attendance fee
✅ Open to everyone
✅ Industry-focused technical discussion
✅ Opportunity for questions and clarification

📢 SAVE THE DATE — 22 SEPTEMBER @ 18:00

Registration details will follow shortly.

If you attended our previous webinar, this is the follow-up we promised you.

If you missed the first one, you are still more than welcome to join us for this session.

⚡ EARTHING vs GROUNDING — DO YOU REALLY KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?

The two terms are often used as if they mean exactly the same thing, but understanding their different roles is fundamental to electrical safety.

A useful way to remember it is: Earthing primarily protects PEOPLE. Grounding primarily protects and stabilises the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. But the real protection comes from how earthing, grounding, bonding and protective devices work together when a fault occurs.

In our latest TDMI technical blog, we unpack how protective earthing creates a safe fault path, why system grounding establishes a stable reference to earth, how TN, TT and IT systems behave differently, why neutral-to-earth bonding matters, and why modern inverter, generator and solar installations make this knowledge more important than ever. ⚡🔧

For electricians, Registered Persons and anyone working toward their Wireman’s Licence, this is not just theory — it is the foundation of understanding how an installation actually protects people when something goes wrong.

A fault should become a controlled electrical event — not a human safety event.

🔥🏉 THE SERIES IS LEVEL — NOW IT COMES DOWN TO SOWETO! 🇿🇦🇳🇿

One win each. One massive showdown left in South Africa. 💥

The All Blacks struck first with a 33–16 victory, but the Bokke answered in Cape Town with a huge 33–26 comeback win. Now the rivalry moves to Soweto, and FNB Stadium is set for another battle! 💚💛

📅 Saturday, 5 September 2026
⏰ Kick-off: 17:10
📍 FNB Stadium, Johannesburg / Soweto

🏆 SCORE PREDICTION COMPETITION — ROUND 3!

Once again, one lucky supporter can win:

⚡ 1-Year Paid Nearby Electrician Membership
✅ Full membership benefits included
💰 Worth R1 400!

This is the third Springboks vs All Blacks battle of the tour, and after Cape Town, the Bokke arrive in Soweto with momentum. 🇿🇦🔥

🎯 HOW TO ENTER

Comment on the original competition post with your predicted final score:

🇿🇦 SPRINGBOKS — ?
🇳🇿 ALL BLACKS — ?

🏆 Exact final score wins.

If nobody predicts the exact score, the participant with the closest combined score prediction wins.

And as our last competition showed — if two predictions are mathematically equally close, both will be recognised as winners. 🎯🏆

⏰ Predictions must be submitted before kick-off at 17:10.

🔥 Cape Town was the comeback. Now Soweto is where the Bokke need to make the statement.

Will South Africa go 2–1 up in the rivalry? 🇿🇦💪

Drop your prediction below and tag the rugby expert who always thinks they know the score! 😂🏉

🏆🏆 WE HAVE TWO WINNERS! 🏆🏆

What a result for the Bokke! 🇿🇦🔥

Final score:

🇿🇦 Springboks 33 – 26 All Blacks 🇳🇿

Nobody predicted the exact final score, but this time we had TWO predictions equally close — both just 1 point away from the actual result! 🎯

👏 Reginald Pretorius
Predicted: Springboks 33 – 27 All Blacks

👏 Gerath Jacobs
Predicted: Springboks 33 – 25 All Blacks

Both got the Springbok score exactly right at 33, with the All Blacks score only 1 point out.

Because our competition rules stated that the closest prediction wins, and both predictions are equally close, we believe the fair outcome is simple:

🎉 BOTH ARE WINNERS! 🎉

Each winner will receive:

⚡ 1-Year Paid Nearby Electrician Membership
✅ Full membership benefits included
💰 Worth R1 400 each

That means we are awarding R2 800 worth of memberships in this round! 🙌

Congratulations Reginald and Gerath! Please send us a private message so we can arrange your memberships. 📩

A big thank you to everyone who entered and supported the competition. The Bokke bounced back — and this round gave us two deserving winners! 💚💛🏉

⚡ FORGIVENESS — DISCONNECT FROM WHAT IS HOLDING YOU

In the electrical industry, when we find a fault, we don’t leave it connected and hope it disappears. We isolate it, repair what needs to be repaired, and make the installation safe again.

Sometimes we need to do the same in our own lives.

Unforgiveness keeps us connected to the hurt, the anger, the disappointment and the past. And every time we replay it, we allow that old fault to keep drawing energy from today.

Forgiveness does not mean what happened was right.
It does not mean there should be no consequences.
It does not mean you have to trust the person again.

It means you refuse to remain bound by what they did to you.

If forgiveness was about deserving it, none of us would qualify.

“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” — Colossians 3:13

Jesus forgave us long before we could ever deserve it. That same grace gives us the strength to release others.

⚡ Don’t let yesterday’s fault trip tomorrow’s supply.

Forgive. Release it. Keep the wisdom. Leave the bitterness. Walk in freedom.
