From a teaching experience project to a lasting impact.

What started as a teaching experience project became something so much bigger. Three Emeris Waterfall students transformed an unused classroom at Ebony Park Primary School into a space where curiosity, creativity and practical learning can thrive.

Their initiative is a powerful example of giving back, taking action and creating meaningful, lasting impact in the community.

Their story is proof that education isn’t only about what happens in the classroom. It’s about seeing a need, taking initiative and leaving things better than you found them.

We are incredibly proud of our students for going beyond the requirements of their teaching experience and turning an opportunity to learn into an opportunity to make a difference.

Overcrowding made practical science lessons difficult at Ebony Park Primary School, prompting three Emeris Waterfall students to transform an unused classroom into a laboratory.

Durban is getting a major new private university, and it’s set to welcome up to 8,000 students by 2029.

Advtech is taking its Emeris vision to KZN, with a massive new campus planned to include sports fields, student residences and room to eventually accommodate 10,500 students.

Construction starts in 2027. Durban’s higher-education landscape is about to get a serious shake-up.

Emeris Waterfall graduate lands prestigious Australian study opportunity

Emeris, an Advtech brand, is celebrating graduate Tumelo Mabetwa, who has secured direct admission to pursue a Master of Cyber Security at RMIT University in Australia.

Tumelo graduated with distinction with an IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Science in Application Development, achieving an overall average of 77%. His strong academic performance enabled him to progress directly into the master’s programme, bypassing the traditional honours route. He also received a bursary towards his studies.
