Bertha Gxowa Foundation was established to herald the legacy of Mrs Bertha Gxowa, who committed her life to social justice, human rights, development and the empowered communities, broadly.Her passion for the realisation of the right of women, children, youth and elderly, specifically, and the building of leadership in all her endeavors remains to this day, a solid basis from which social justice

and the transformation of South African society and beyond, may be steered. BGF therefore builds on the programmes and projects intimated by Mrs Gxowa, supporting them towards effectiveness and sustainability. BGF further establishes appropriate partnerships, builds solidarity and replicate effective models for advancing the rights of women, children, youth and the elderly, building community resilience, inspiring and developing leadership and attaining social justice.
