ACBSP Region 8, in collaboration with the South African Business Schools Association (SABSA), invites you to a free webinar exploring how accreditation can move beyond compliance and become a strategic operating system for continuous institutional improvement.

Dr Pichop, a Fulbright Scholar and Associate Professor at the Stonecipher School of Business at East Central University, will examine the foundations of the ACBSP accreditation model and its alignment with the internationally recognised Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.

The session will show how accreditation can be used to review and improve leadership, strategy, stakeholder engagement, data and knowledge management, workforce development, operations and institutional results.

Participants will consider how a more strategic approach to accreditation can support:

- Continuous institutional improvement and organisational agility
- Evidence-informed planning and resource allocation
- Stronger faculty engagement
- Risk management and operational effectiveness
- Competitive differentiation and international mobility

The webinar will also address common weaknesses in accreditation practice, including performative box-checking, the entrenchment of convention over innovation, and poorly managed administrative burdens on academic and professional staff.

This session will be particularly valuable for institutional leaders, academics, quality-assurance practitioners and colleagues involved in accreditation, academic planning and institutional effectiveness.
