What You Have To Know ⚠️⚠️⚠️
National Senior Certificate
This certificate is awarded to individuals between the ages of 18 and 21 and is done during high school. This is commonly known as being your Grade 12 Certificate or your Matric Certificate.
Amended Senior Certificate
As an alternative to a National Senior Certificate, this certificate is available to anyone 21 years and older. This is done through our Adult Matric Programme. The only two requirements for this certificate are:
Firstly, you will need to be 21 years of age or older when writing the set exams for this certificate, and
Secondly, to be able to register for this certificate you will need to provide evidence that you did not complete your Matric Certificate during high school (either you failed, you did not write the exams, or you left school before your grade 12 year)
A Matric Upgrade
Registering for this programme requires you to either already has completed your matric before or after 2008 because of one of the following reasons:
Either a failed statement of results, or
A National Senior Certificate that needs to/or can be improved, or
An Amended Senior Certificate that needs to/or can be improved
At Educem College , we offer our Matric Upgrade – Amended Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) –And this programme allows you to get a certificate. With this programme you can achieve one or more of the following:
You can add subjects to your matric certificate
You can improve certain or all of your Matric results
You can complete a totally new set of subjects
You can upgrade your results from a fail to a pass
Improve your results from a Higher Certificate Pass Grade to a Bachelor’s Degree Pass
A Matric Rewrite
Choosing to rewrite your Matric exams, will allow you the opportunity to improve on your original results. Rewriting your Matric exams can be several reasons, for example, either you failed, or you did not get the results you wanted and wish to better them.
