Eswatini Delegation Conducts Two-Day Benchmarking Visit at Majuba TVET College

Majuba TVET College’s Newcastle Training Centre (NTC) Campus recently hosted a successful two-day benchmarking visit by a delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini’s Directorate of Industrial and Vocational Training (DIVT), in partnership with the Construction Industry Council (CIC) of Eswatini.

The visit provided the delegates with an opportunity to gain valuable insights into Majuba TVET College’s approaches to training delivery and practical instruction, practical assessment and trade testing, quality assurance and quality management systems, as well as the standards and procedures governing construction trades.

Throughout the two-day engagement, the Eswatini delegation was exposed to the College’s systems and practices aimed at ensuring that students receive quality, industry-relevant training and acquire the practical competencies required in the workplace. The programme also created a platform for knowledge-sharing, with both parties exchanging experiences and best practices within the technical and vocational education and training sector.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of effective practical training, competency-based assessment, quality management and collaboration with industry in producing skilled graduates who can contribute meaningfully to economic development.

The benchmarking visit further strengthened regional cooperation and provided an opportunity for Majuba TVET College to share its expertise and experiences with counterparts from Eswatini, while learning from their approaches and practices.
Majuba TVET College continues to value partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives that contribute to the continuous improvement and strengthening of the TVET sector across the Southern African region.
