A Call for Accountability Ahead of the CSRC Elections
Dear Students of UFS QwaQwa Campus,
As the upcoming CSRC elections approach, the MKSM would like to address the student community with honesty and accountability.
In the previous CSRC elections, MKSM secured six seats. However, we acknowledge that we did not represent students with the effectiveness, consistency and commitment that you deserved. We recognise that having student representatives is not enough — those representatives must actively listen to students, raise their concerns and deliver meaningful results.
For this reason, we are calling on students not to vote for MKSM in the upcoming CSRC elections.
We believe that student leadership must be based on accountability, service and the interests of students rather than political affiliation or the pursuit of positions. We therefore encourage students to carefully evaluate all candidates and organisations, examine their records, and make an informed decision about who they believe can best represent their interests.
We take full responsibility for our shortcomings during our previous term. This is not an attempt to avoid accountability, but rather an acknowledgment that students deserve better.
To every student who supported MKSM previously, we sincerely thank you for your trust and apologise for failing to live up to the responsibility entrusted to us.
The student voice must always come first.
