Today, University of Pretoria alumnus Paballo Mphake hosted a brilliant, hands-on AI training session right here on campus. The Mamelodi Men’s Forum recently hosted a highly successful Men's Health Wellness Event at the Mamelodi campus, partnering with incredible medical professionals and healthcare entities to bring vital services directly to the men of our community. Too often, men put health on the back burner. This event was all about breaking the silence, smashing the stigma, and taking charge of our future. A massive thank you to all the volunteers and partners who dedicated their time, and to every single man who stepped up and prioritised his wellness.

The virtual exchange between students from the University of Konstanz and the youth of Mamelodi is officially underway! Organised by Dr. Manuela Ulrich and Dr. Martina Jordaan, this cross-continental collaboration focuses on the dual nature of our digital world.
Following a successful first session last week, participants will gather for two more sessions over the coming two weeks. Across this three-part initiative, we bring European academic insights together with the lived experiences of South African youth to address the "double-edged sword" of social media: how it can drive economic growth while protecting mental well-being and building psychological resilience.
