On Thursday, 27 August 2026, KaNyamazane Campus hosted its 2026 Open Day, welcoming learners from local high schools to explore the opportunities available at the campus. The event provided learners with first-hand information about the programmes and career opportunities offered by the College.

As part of TVET Month, learners were also given an opportunity to experience the campus environment, explore its infrastructure and gain insight into how practical training and hands-on learning are conducted. The initiative aims to empower learners with information to make informed decisions about their future studies and careers.

These placements provide graduates with valuable workplace experience needed to complete their qualifications while preparing them for the world of work. On Friday, 31 July 2026, The College celebrated the spirit of Nelson Mandela by spending the day giving back to the elderly residents of the KaMhlushwa Old Age Home in Nkomazi. Putting their skills into action, the College's Civil Engineering team carried out renovation work, including the construction of a new bathroom and shower, while also improving the home's drainage system. The initiative was more than just a community project but it was a way of showing care, respect and appreciation for the older generation. The College believes that making a difference starts with serving others and through acts like these, it continues to live the values of Ubuntu and build stronger, more caring communities.
