On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, Mapulaneng Campus had the honour of hosting the Bushbuckridge GBVF Outreach Programme led by the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality Community Services Directorate, Social Services Unit, together with the Mpumalanga Department of Health. The programme focused on raising awareness and fighting the scourge of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) within college communities and surrounding areas.

Various stakeholders also provided important health and support services to students on site. The outreach programme served as an important platform to empower students with knowledge, support, and access to essential services.
