SEND A MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN IN AIDS-AFFECTED FAMILIES
Children living in HIV/AIDS-affected families often feel isolated, stigmatised and alone. A group of children involved in a national research study have made a 14-minute movie to show the world to see what life was like through their eyes. The Young Carers research team are hoping to collect 5,000 messages of support for children who are orphaned or whose family members are affected by HIV/AIDS, so that they can see that people all over the world are on their side. (message from the team: The children who made this video are members of our Teen Advisory Group, who have advised our research since 2008. The making of this film was approved by University Research Ethics Committees. All children and caregivers gave informed consent.
