Dear FINAL YEAR & PGCE STUDENTS

We have been receiving emails from the TP office regarding low number of students that have RSVP for the WOW day, We therefore encourage all final year and PGCE students to RSVP for the WOW day, The link have been re-opened till Sunday the 14th May 2023. Please note that refreshments will be provided to all students that will attend the WOW day.

We encourage students to fill the Google link for Teaching practice, No students will attend Teaching Practice without filling the Google link for Teaching practice. We note that only few students that did not fill the link of which they are doing FOUNDATION PHASE.

We would like to to inform you that Funza Lushaka Bursary Applications for 2023 Academic year are open on 17/10/2022
New applications close on 16/01/2023
Re-applications for Existing/Returning Bursars close on 30/11/2022.

To access, register and apply for the Funza Lushaka Bursary the following 9 easy steps should be followed:
NOTE: All first time applicants must be 30 years or younger to apply for Funza Lushaka Bursary.

Open the e-Gov portal at www.eservices.gov.za
Register by providing personal information
Login to the system using user name and password created when registering
On the e-Services Menu select Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme
Enter the OTP received on the preferred channel
Accept the Terms and Conditions
On the dashboard menu click on the 2023 application button
Follow the steps to complete the required field with your information
Accept the declaration to confirm the information captured.

REQUIREMENTS FOR FUNZA LUSHAKA BURSARY:

Undergraduate studies: a 4-year Bachelor of Education degree (BEd), which specialises in any of the following:

Foundation Phase (Grade R to Grade 3) (preferably majoring in South African Indigenous Languages, Neurodevelopment Needs, Braille, SASL)

Intermediate Phase (Grade 4 to Grade 6)

(preferably majoring in 2 of these subjects: Languages, Mathematics, and Natural Science & Technology)

Senior and Further Education and Training Teaching (Grade 7 to Grade 12)

(preferably majoring in 2 of these subjects: Accounting, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Technology, Civil Technology, Computer Applications Technology, Electrical Technology, Engineering Graphics and Design, Geography, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Technology, Physical Sciences, Languages, Maritime studies, Coding and Robitics, Technical Mathematics and Technical Science)

Graduate studies: a 1-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for:

Senior and Further Education and Training Teaching (Grade 7 to Grade 12).

Dear Students

We request all the Faculty of Education registered students to come in numbers tomorrow by 13:10 -14:00 in L5 for Examination Preparation Workshop. The purpose of this program is to provide Faculty of Education students with study tips/methods etc as the Examinations are starting in 2 weeks time (This Month). Tell all the Faculty of Education students to avail themselves in L5 tomorrow as the councils will conduct a list of attendees all those who are going to attend and be in the list of attendees will be our first priority when attending issues regarding marks etc. after the Examinations.

CTL department will also be part of the program.

We kindly inform you that Faculty of Education applications for 2023 academic year are closing soon.

Admission requirements:
Bachelor of Education in Foundation phase - 30 APS.
Bachelor of Education in Intermediate phase - 30 APS.
Bachelor of Education in SP&FET phase -30 APS.

NB: English must be level 4 (50%) and above in order to get admitted.

We request all registered students to kindly please inform all matric candidates to apply as soon as possible.
