Week after week.
Meal after meal.
Student after student.

What started as a simple act of kindness has grown into something much bigger.

For seven consecutive weeks, College of Africa has proudly funded and delivered its Feed A Hungry Student Initiative, ensuring that students receive not only a warm meal, but also a reminder that their wellbeing matters.

This video captures moments from Weeks 5, 6 and 7.

Moments of hope.
Moments of gratitude.
Moments that remind us why this initiative continues.

Every plate served represents more than food.
It represents dignity.
It represents care.

It represents an institution that understands that education cannot thrive where hunger exists.

Behind every student standing in the queue is a dream.

A future teacher.

Four weeks ago, this was an idea.

Today, it is a commitment.

For the fourth consecutive week, College of Africa proudly continued its self-funded Feed A Hungry Student Initiative, providing warm meals to students and proving that care, compassion, and action can make a real difference.

Every week, the queues form.
Every week, students gather.
And every week, we are reminded why this initiative matters.

Behind every plate served is a student working hard to build a better future.

A future that should never be limited by hunger.

As we reached Week 4, we reflected on the impact of this journey.

The smiles.
The gratitude.
The conversations.
The sense of community.

These moments remind us that education is not only about academic success. It is also about ensuring that students have the support, dignity, and encouragement needed to achieve that success.

What makes this initiative special is not simply the meals being served.

It is the message being shared.

A message that says:

Three weeks in… and the message is becoming clearer.

This is no longer just an initiative.
It is now a movement of dignity, care, and consistency.

Once again, students arrived, not just for a meal, but for a moment of relief, belonging, and hope.

The queues were familiar, but so was the purpose.

Smiles returned. Conversations grew louder. And once again, warm meals were served with dignity.

At College of Africa, we continue to believe that no student should have to learn on an empty stomach.

Because hunger does not just affect the body, it affects focus, confidence, and potential.

Week 3 reminded us that impact is not always loud.

Sometimes it is seen in a student who can now concentrate in class.
Sometimes it is felt in a grateful smile after a simple meal.
And sometimes it is measured in hope restored.

One meal cannot solve every challenge.
But one meal can remind a student that they matter.

Today, the queues formed once again.

Students arrived with smiles, conversations filled the air, and plates were served with dignity and care.

What began as an idea has now become a commitment.

For the second consecutive week, College of Africa proudly continued its self-funded Feed A Hungry Student Initiative, ensuring that students received a warm meal and a reminder that they are not alone in their educational journey.

Education is about more than classrooms, textbooks, and examinations.

It is about creating an environment where students can focus, grow, and pursue their dreams with dignity.

As we served each plate today, we were reminded that behind every student is a story.

A story of sacrifice.
A story of resilience.
A story of determination.

For some, it was lunch. For others, it was hope served on a plate.

The smiles, the excitement, the gratitude, and the hope. Today we witnessed the true impact of a simple meal. ❀️🍽️

23 April 2026 will forever remain a special day in the history of College of Africa.

Today, we witnessed something powerful.

Long before the food was ready, students began lining up. Some arrived smiling, some laughing with friends, while others stood quietly waiting their turn. As each plate was served, it became clear that this was about much more than food.

It was about dignity.
It was about hope.
It was about reminding our students that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds across Africa and are working tirelessly to build a better future through education. Watching them receive a warm meal and seeing the excitement on their faces was both heartwarming and emotional.

For some, it may have been just a plate of food.

For a student, it may have been the difference between hunger and comfort, between distraction and concentration, between giving up and carrying on.

Today marked the official launch of our once-a-week free meal programme under the College of Africa self-funded initiative, Feed A Hungry Student.

As we looked across the campus and saw hundreds of students standing together in unity, gratitude, and excitement, we were reminded why this initiative matters.

Behind every plate served was a student with a dream worth protecting.

No student should have to pursue their dreams on an empty stomach.

This is more than a meal
This is dignity
This is compassion
This is humanity
This is education in action
This is hope served on a plate

Every future engineer, teacher, entrepreneur, accountant, healthcare worker, artisan, and leader deserves the opportunity to learn with dignity and pursue their dreams without the burden of hunger.
